playing Benedick for Creation - Director: Helen Tennison
“I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me.”
Get together for the perfect summer evening of Shakespeare as the sun sets. We’ll have prosecco on ice, picnic blankets, twinkling lights; everything you need for a glorious summer night out.
Join the happy couple Claudio and Hero, and the not-so-keen Beatrice and Benedick in Shakespeare’s quick-witted comedy. With Messina transposed to 1980s Britain expect romantic intrigue, dashing soldiers and shoulder pads galore.
Plus we’ll be inviting you to pitch up with a picnic in our brand new venue; the hidden oasis of South Oxford Adventure Playground. Tucked away off Abingdon Road and surrounded by greenery, we’ll be making full use of the idyllic setting.
